This week’s topic is Deeply Rooted, Fully Alive

This week we will explore the profound, yet accessible teachings of equipoise and equanimity. One of the best images for this sensitive balancing relationship with all things is a deeply rooted and flexible tree in a windy storm. The tree, equipoised, does not resist the wind, bending and yielding to its force. Yet, well nourished from the root, it returns to noble uprightness as soon as the pressure passes.

  • Becoming a Bodhisattva

This talk will explore the archetype of the Bodhisattva— a being dedicated to waking up and cultivating wisdom and compassion for the sake of all beings. We will first see how it manifests itself in Buddhist history and teachings, and then tackle important questions: How is it relevant to the suffering in our current times?…

Daily Meditation Recordings, with Zohar Lavie – Week of July 17, 2023

This week’s topic is “Deepening and Developing Unconditional Friendliness”. Metta, translated as unconditional friendliness, is a powerful and transformative attitude. During this week of practice we will deepen the practice and application of metta, as well as the understanding of how it impacts experience.

  • Zohar Lavie

Daily Meditation Recordings, with Zohar Lavie – Week of 09 June, 2025

We’re delighted to have Zohar Lavie guiding our Daily Meditation sessions this week. May these sessions support and deepen your practice.

This week’s theme is: Steadiness, Clarity and Care in Challenging Times

During this week of practice, we will explore and practice the boundless qualities of compassion and equanimity. Compassion as the heart’s capacity to open and attend to suffering, and equanimity as the heart’s ability to face life in all its aspects with clarity and steadiness.
These two beautiful qualities complement and nourish each other. They support us to meet experience and act within it in beneficial ways, even in difficult times.

Our Dharma Library thrives through collective generosity. Your donation helps sustain this offering for our entire community.

  • Daily Meditation Recordings, with Ulla Koenig – Week of January 17, 2022

This week’s theme is: Embracing Anger.

How do you deal with your feelings of anger?

Is it okay to be angry at times or do we need to get rid of it once and for all?

Meeting our anger can be a challenge, as it comes with a driving energy and tends to evoke reactions of blame, fear or delight within us. The Buddha encouraged us to familiarize ourselves with all expressions of the heart-mind but equally warned about the destructive forces of ill-will. Let us look deeply into the nature of anger and learn ways to channel it in skilful and liberating ways.

Luminous Darkness: A Path for Seeing Clearly from the Heart

One of the gifts of global uncertainty is that it requires us to recognize and release unconscious biases that have been passed down for generations. These include the perception that splits into opposites and values light over dark, speed over slowing down, productivity over attunement, and conclusion over not knowing. Awakening requires that we soften…
