“When you can’t go forward, when you can’t go back, and when you can’t stand still – where do you go? This is your place of non-abiding. The things you love and the things you hate: these are your teachers.”

– Ajahn Chah

How do we perceive conflict? We often see it as disturbing, but this stems from a lack of understanding of the deeper connections between opposing elements. In this illuminating session, we’ll explore teachings and practices that reveal the underlying coherence in the seeming contradictions within conflict.

  • Daily Meditation Recordings with Christopher Titmuss- Week of June 10, 2024

This week’s topic is “Letting Go. An Act of the Will?”

We pick up a hot coal in the morning from the wood burner.

Ouch, we let go immediately. No thought. No desire. Instant letting go.

The language of letting go has entered into the mind of the meditator.

It is often not a solution but an ambitious state of mind.

Letting go reveals an outcome of understanding.

We can tell ourselves a 1000 times we should let go and it’s to no avail.

The desire to let go shows we are not ready to let go.

We will explore the preparation for letting go and wise responses employing at times letting go.

  • The Relative is the Absolute: Touching Race, Injustice, and Love

When we engage in the distortion that the relative plane is separate from the absolute – that it is something to transcend or ‘just an illusion’ – we ignore the reality of the illusion. When we know ourselves as a whole which subsumes everything, we cease to diminish or dismiss the mystery of being human….

  • Daily Meditation Recordings, with Ayala Gill – Week of 04 November, 2024

This week’s theme is: Love’s Fullness

Mindfulness is a practice of remaining present, open and loving to the deepest truth of this moment as it arises and dissolves. It invites us into an intimate, warm and embodied relationship with life, where each moment is sensed, felt and known with love. The four foundations of mindfulness return us to love’s fullness.
