Embracing Stillness in
Motion: Qigong and
Mindfulness in Daily Life

with James Rafael

7-10am PT / 10am-1pm ET / 3-6pm BST / 4-7pm CEST

Explore the integration of qigong, breathwork, and meditation with James Rafael

In the hustle and bustle of modern life, finding moments of stillness is certainly challenging. Yet, it is in these moments of stillness that we often find our greatest clarity and peace.

Perhaps you have a regular seated meditation practice already, or perhaps you do not. Either way, learning to find stillness through movement is at the heart of many traditions such as the ancient Chinese practice of qigong.

Join mindfulness and movement teacher James Rafael for a Day of Practice where we will delve into the dynamic interplay between moving meditations like qigong and the stillness of breathwork and meditation.

We will journey through guided gentle movement practices that emphasise the unity of body, breath, and mind, fostering a deeper sense of presence and awareness.

This *Live* 3-hour workshop is designed for those seeking to enliven their mindfulness practice and apply it to their everyday activities off the meditation cushion, enhancing their interactions, way of being, and productivity.

Join James’ session to:

  • Learn how to integrate moving meditations into daily routines for greater presence; to bridge the gap between seated meditation and daily life for a more alive, active and engaged mindfulness.
  • Discover techniques to manage stress through slow movement, and cultivate balance through qigong and breath work.
  • Develop skills to bring mindfulness into interactions, fostering better communication and understanding, and cultivate more fully present relationships.

What is Day of Practice?

Sangha Live’s 3-hour, LIVE Day of Practice allows for you to drop in deeper, develop your meditation skills, and reset your intentions through sustained sitting.

Days of Practice includes longer periods of meditation, interspersed with wise teachings, an interactive Q&A with our teacher, and more.

Replay access will be available to all registrants within 48 hours of the live session.

How is Day of Practice different from Sangha Live’s Daily/Sunday classes?

Our shorter Daily Meditation (60 mins) and Sunday Sangha (90 mins) programs emphasize dharma teachings, while our longer Days of Practice (3 hours) emphasize development of meditation practice.

Daily practice is crucial for watering seeds of mindfulness, but extended periods of deep attention such as these, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, can be uniquely fruitful.

Cost

Day of Practice is offered on a sliding scale basis, with a suggested rate of $35. We wholeheartedly welcome all to practice with us; no one turned away for lack of funds.
