The Interdependent Experience:
Practicing in Connection

7-10am PT / 10am-1pm ET / 3-6pm BST / 4-7pm CEST

Discover what happens when we make connection the locus of our practice with Insight Meditation teacher Justine Dawson

While much deep meditation practice happens in stillness, silence, and solitude, there is great nourishment and insight available when we extend mindful awareness into connection.

We begin this process with a foundation of connection to self, rooting into our body and inner states, moment to moment. We’ll establish our anchor, knowing we can always return to this safe harbour within.

From there, we learn to share our inner arising experiences with others – and to receive theirs – softening the divide between inner and outer, mine and yours. This is where a realization of interconnection often emerges. In this state, we can turn our attention and hold others as the focus of our awareness.

What do you see when you take another in, with a beginner’s mind? What supports you to stay open to the sensation and emotion of being received by another?

This will be our practice – beautifully, imperfectly human together – led by intimacy and awakening expert Justine Dawson. This 3-hour live session will move between solo sitting meditation, group dialogue, partnered inquiry, and meditative practices designed to cultivate inner- and inter- connection in our daily lives.

Introverts and those shy to connect are most welcome, as are extroverts and every nuance in between. Interdependence is the reality we all live inside of.

Join us to learn to:

  • Bridge the awareness and insight of your meditation practice with your relationships – whether friendships, family, lovers or strangers
  • Grow in your ability to stay present within yourself as you engage with others
  • Notice others more deeply, and open yourself to be more deeply seen
  • Co-create a space of awareness and insight in connection with others

What is Day of Practice?

Sangha Live’s 3-hour, LIVE Day of Practice allows for you to drop in deeper, develop your meditation skills, and reset your intentions through sustained sitting.

Days of Practice includes longer periods of meditation, interspersed with wise teachings, an interactive Q&A with our teacher, and more.

Replay access will be available to all registrants within 48 hours of the live session.

How is Day of Practice different from Sangha Live’s Daily/Sunday classes?

Our shorter Daily Meditation (60 mins) and Sunday Sangha (90 mins) programs emphasize dharma teachings, while our longer Days of Practice (3 hours) emphasize development of meditation practice.

Daily practice is crucial for watering seeds of mindfulness, but extended periods of deep attention such as these, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, can be uniquely fruitful.

Cost

Day of Practice is offered on a sliding scale basis, with a suggested rate of $35. We wholeheartedly welcome all to practice with us; no one turned away for lack of funds.
