Emotions are the ever-shifting dynamics of our inner life. At times they are subtle; at other times charged with energy. Their pressure, or call to action, can often overwhelm and upset us.
Mindfulness can help us to respectfully embrace our feelings without adding to a sense of fear, frustration, or narratives of the mind. If we can learn not to reject or identify with them, observing our feelings and meeting our emotions with mindfulness can offer us liberating insights about our personal needs and boundaries.
In this Day of Practice with beloved teacher Ulla Koenig, we practice meditation, a drawing activity and Qigong/mindful movement to strengthen our capacity to meet our emotions with grace, both on and off the cushion.
