This week’s topic is “That Changes Everything”

The Buddha instructed us to “notice how all conditioned things change”. How we understand this instruction changes depending on which words we emphasise. If we emphasise ‘change’ it sounds like “that’s simply how it is”. If we emphasise ‘how’ and ‘conditioned’, it invites us to question and play a part.

  • Daily Meditation Recordings, with Shireen Jilla – Week of 04 May, 2026

This week’s theme is: Why Are We Here?

To gain relief from mental or physical suffering, seeking enlightenment, sangha? As we practice with our teachers, insight can flood our hearts. Still we can feel untethered in daily life. We will explore what part our expectations, inspirations and intentions play. And what actually opens us to the naturalness of meeting this moment with simple, direct wisdom: the ordinarily extraordinary.

Our Dharma Library thrives through collective generosity. Your donation helps sustain this offering for our entire community.

Nothing is my own, everything is my own.

It’s a pretty delicate task to find the right posture inside ourself in relation to the events that occur in our everyday life. Some are really desired and welcome; some are unexpected or disappointing. We gain things, we lose things and people, and good health comes and goes. On the one hand, everything we experience…

Insight and practices for difficult times

We are in a race between fear and consciousness. Never before have forces of greed hatred and ignorance enjoyed such a platform of populist divisiveness that instills fear and separation throughout society, endangering our very civilization. And never before has there been as much caring and worldwide commitment to making this a better world. In…

    Compassion, Emergence and Climate Change

This year, humanity has witnessed the alarming acceleration of climate change… the loss of forests and rivers, animal and plant species… and the potential annihilation of our species. Alongside our profound grief for what is changing globally, however, we are also experiencing Emergence.  Emergence, the organizing principle of Gaia, can help us to stay present as…

  • From One, To Two, To Many: The Dharma-Power of Specific Relationships

Specific relationships are each a nexus of power in the larger human system. The naturally intense energies and tendencies of the mind are not only amplified and their potency for action accelerated, but specific relationships also function as a vector for proliferation from the individual mind out to other nodes of the system. Relationships are…
