The word Kalyana in Pali means “beautiful, inspiring, uplifting.” It points to that which elevates and edifies the heart, brings joy, and allows us to know and feel the goodness of our practice, our heart, our life.
This vital quality cultivates inner beauty and resilience – not as abstract ideals, but as living qualities we can embody in daily life, and as a powerful antidote to fear, doubt, and disillusionment.
This Day of Practice with Sangha Live’s founding teacher, Martin Aylward, invites us to remember that the path of awakening is not only about insight, but also about joy – the joy of being alive, of practicing, of knowing the heart’s own capacity to be uplifted and inspired.
Through guided meditations, teachings, and shared reflection, Martin will help us explore how Kalyana can become a living quality in our practice and our lives. Together we’ll discover how to turn towards the good and the beautiful, how to nurture the heart, to find joy and inspiration in our practice, and live with greater ease and openness.
