Ann Gleig
Ann Gleig (she/her) is a Professor of Religion and Cultural Studies at the University of Central Florida. Her research specialty is Buddhism in America with a focus on race, gender, and sexuality. She is author of American Dharma: Buddhism Beyond Modernity (2019), and co-editor with Scott A. Mitchell of The Oxford Handbook of American Buddhism (2024). She has two forthcoming books: Talking About Cults: Abuse and the Study of New Religious Movements and a co-written book with Amy Langenberg on sexual abuse in American Buddhism.
Ann has practiced in the Insight tradition and the Tibetan Nyingma tradition and is currently a student in the Diamond Approach.
