The heart-mind (citta) is the aspect of our experience that is sensitive to our moods and mind-states, which we can skilfully turn towards. It is known in Buddhist teachings as the third Satipatthana – meaning a suitable foundation or domain for the cultivation of mindfulness.
In this session we will be turning towards the citta and its qualities, and discovering how we can relate to them with compassion and understanding.
Quote:
Phenomena are preceded by the heart, ruled by the heart, made of the heart.
