This week’s topic is “Liberating Care: A Path of Kindness, Compassion and Well-being

The Buddha recommended radiating goodwill to all beings. This requires us to deepen our connection and sensitively empathise with everyone. Which immediately invites well-being to our whole being. When a well-nourished heart encounters suffering, compassion blossoms. And this journey of awakening begins to liberate pain, born of separation, into interwoven joy.

This week’s topic is: Beginning to See More Possibilities.

The Zen master, Shunryu Suzuki, said: “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.” With a beginner’s possibilities we can release our heart’s wholesome aspirations. This week’s topic is “Movement in Stillness”. The flow of life is unpredictable, and its instability and the changes it presents often throw us off balance. The Buddha suggests adopting an approach where beauty and freedom can emerge at the center of this “movement in stillness.” Throughout this week, we will explore the challenges that arise when facing the realities of birth, life, and death, and how open, stable attention and clear perception can support a deeper understanding of the natural flow of all things.

This week’s topic is Healing Shame and Guilt. Psychologists describe shame as soul-eating emotion. Shame and guilt prevent us from developing trusting connections with others and a healthy sense of appreciation for ourselves. The Buddha taught that systems of self-reference such as shame and guilt can cause pain and stress. To find liberation is to find freedom from these deeply harmful emotions. We will look at practical ways to find such freedom in our own lives.
