Imagination: An Integral Aspect of Liberating the Heart

With Jill Satterfield recorded on May 21, 2023.

Our heart/mind is naturally creative; it foresees, remembers, dreams, and perceives.

The products of our imagination shape our intentions, expanding the realm of possibilities beyond what we’ve learned, seen, or experienced thus far.

We can give ourselves permission to imagine and co-create our lives. And once this is cultivated and the doors of perception are more opened, our imaginal and liminal states can become the skillful means to be with what is and what is yet to become.

    Breathe! Delight in Meditation

How can we delight in our meditation? Learning to bring loving awareness to the breath, feeling the ebb and flow in real time as we sit quietly, is an art. The key is in our approach. Sometimes in practicing mindfulness of breathing, there can be an over-emphasis or insistence on focusing attention that drives delight…

Daily Meditation Recordings, with Yahel Avigur – Week of 14 July, 2025

We’re delighted to have Yahel Avigur guiding our Daily Meditation sessions this week. May these sessions enrich and support your practice.

This week’s theme is: Metta — Healing All Aspects

This week, we’ll open to the healing power of metta – loving-kindness, or goodwill – as a transformative force in our lives. We’ll practice offering this gentle warmth first to those we naturally care about, and to ourselves. Gradually, we’ll widen the circle, allowing metta to infuse our relationships with neutral people, those we find difficult, and ultimately all beings. As kindness suffuses more corners of our hearts and lives, we may begin to discover a growing sense of spaciousness and connection – and with it, insight, balance, and inner freedom.

Our Dharma Library thrives through collective generosity. Your donation helps sustain this offering for our entire community.
