There are many ways to understand and to embody meditative awareness.
This Day of Practice with Sangha Live’s founding teacher, Martin Aylward, will take you experientially through three of the most fundamental – clarifying them through shared practice and exploration.
Our time together will include reflections and guided meditations from Martin on:
Loving awareness: Cultivating gentle, soothing, caring attention as a way to settle the mind and be more fully embodied in our meditation practice.
Inquiring awareness: Learning to enter more fully into, to find out more deeply about, and to see with greater clarity, what is happening in your immediate experience, moment to moment.
Spacious awareness: Letting go of any particular object of attention, our meditation centres directly on awareness itself; on the mysterious, immediate, natural knowing which is the ground of all experience.
These three qualities of awareness complement and deepen one another, providing an integral and multi-faceted approach to meditation.
