Insight Meditation:
How to Settle into Being

with Oren Jay Sofer

7-10am PT / 10am-1pm ET / 3-6pm BST / 4-7pm CEST

How do we create the conditions inside ourselves to hold all that is present for us in our hearts with care?

With all the suffering we are witnessing in the world today, it can be difficult to begin our practice from a place of feeling connected and grounded inside.

In these moments, we are invited to turn our attention inward in mindful inquiry, and outward in community connection and support.

How can settling and looking deeply into our hearts and minds support us in our lives and our world?

In this Day of Practice with world-renowned Buddhist teacher and author Oren Jay Sofer, we’ll explore how to develop a steady, stable heart by supporting your nervous system to settle into a receptive and a relaxed way of being.

Together we’ll learn to apply that steadiness to the process of Insight Meditation, looking deeply into our experience to understand ourselves and life more deeply.

Join this 3-hour *live* session to:

  • Practice with the support of others in community.
  • Learn contemplative tools to settle your nervous system.
  • Strengthen access to clear seeing of your heart, mind, thoughts and feelings.

Day of Practice to include guided meditations, time for silent sitting and walking meditation, as well as question and response with Oren.

What is Day of Practice?

Sangha Live’s 3-hour, LIVE Day of Practice allows for you to drop in deeper, develop your meditation skills, and reset your intentions through sustained sitting.

Days of Practice includes longer periods of meditation, interspersed with wise teachings, an interactive Q&A with our teacher, and more.

Replay access will be available to all registrants within 48 hours of the live session.

How is Day of Practice different from Sangha Live’s Daily/Sunday classes?

Our shorter Daily Meditation (60 mins) and Sunday Sangha (90 mins) programs emphasize dharma teachings, while our longer Days of Practice (3 hours) emphasize development of meditation practice.

Daily practice is crucial for watering seeds of mindfulness, but extended periods of deep attention such as these, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, can be uniquely fruitful.

Day of Practice is offered on a sliding scale basis, with a suggested rate of $35. We wholeheartedly welcome all to practice with us; no one turned away for lack of funds.
