Nature’s elements form an intrinsic part of the Buddha’s map of experience, identity and reality.
In this Day of Practice, Sangha Live’s founding teacher Martin Aylward invites us to explore these teachings and practices.
Together, we’ll look at the four great material elements – earth, air, fire, and water – the immaterial elements of space and consciousness, and the ultimate element that is nibbana.
If that all sounds a bit abstract, then rest assured that the day will be anything but!
Martin will offer reflections and meditations pointing directly to the elemental nature of experience. We’ll see how we construct a sense of self from that which is natural, and how we can rest our identity back into elemental life, “giving back to nature what we have mistakenly appropriated as being who we are.”
