Daily Meditation Recordings, with Ulla Koenig – Week of 14 October, 2024

Ulla Koenig

We’re fortunate that Ulla Koenig has generously offered to lead our daily meditation sessions for Europe and the UK.

This week’s topic is “Speaking with Wisdom”.

Communication is essential for us humans – we create relationships, share stories, remember the past and dream the future through language. Equally, communication can create misunderstandings, fuel conflict and division. In times of deepening polarization we might all benefit from tools which help us to create understanding and support community building. According to the Buddha, one eighth of our practice should be dedicated to such a training of skillful communication. This week we’ll pick up on this invitation and explore perspectives and tools which help us to negotiate needs, boundaries, and views and de-escalate conflict.

Daily Meditation Recordings, with James Rafael – Week of April 24, 2023

This week’s topic is “Fluidity and Flux: Gateways to a Kinder, More Inclusive World”. Impermanence connects us to a sense of fluidity and flux, where we can see through the illusion of solid binaries and fixed identities. This can inspire us toward action that includes, appreciates and holds others with kindness.

    What Feeds your Craving?

The Buddha discovered that craving is the cause by which stress comes into play. Letting go of this constant pursuing of our desires is possible. Befriending this human and natural craving needs the power of kind awareness and an ongoing reflection: What feeds my craving? And: What feeds letting go?
