The liberating qualities described by dharma often remain frustratingly out of our grasp. This is because wisdom and kindness are not properties of the self, but are rather innate, naturally emergent qualities of the clear mind, the free heart.
The dharma practice of surrender can facilitate the renunciation of the ego’s need for control, opening up a sense of inner spaciousness and stillness. By surrendering to the vast, loving, and easy embrace of awareness, we can release our grip and find peace in the present moment.
In this on-demand course with Sangha Live founding teacher Martin Aylward, we practice surrendering to life, instead of trying to master, control or organise it; resting into love and wisdom, instead of trying to create them.
