The Heart of Forgiveness

Short Course

What are you waiting to forgive?

When we are feeling hurt, disappointed, angry or betrayed, the idea of forgiving someone is difficult to even consider.

Yet, forgiveness can help heal what divides us. It releases the fear and resentment in the heart that keeps us separate from ourselves, from others, and from life itself.

Frank Ostaseski – the visionary cofounder of the Zen Hospice Project – has accompanied over 1,000 people through the dying process, where he has learned that receiving and extending forgiveness are some of the strongest needs at the end of life.

Forgiveness is a process of touching old pain with an awareness that is infused with mercy. In the end, all forgiveness is self-forgiveness. In this Day of Practice, we honestly explore both the benefits and obstacles to forgiveness.

Join this session for the opportunity to:

  • Explore the difficulties of forgiveness
  • Discern the difference between forgiving and forgetting
  • Learn heart-opening forgiveness meditation practices

What is Day of Practice?

Sangha Live’s 3-hour Day of Practice allows for you to drop in deeper, develop your meditation skills, and reset your intentions through sustained sitting.

Now offered ON-DEMAND, you can join this session independently, on your own schedule, and at your ideal pace. Watch and re-watch the videos as you please.

Days of Practice include longer periods of meditation interspersed with wise teachings, a recorded Q&A from the live class, and more.

What’s Included

With the independent student in mind, previously recorded live sessions are broken down into meaningful modules. Each Day of Practice has been trimmed and consolidated into 4 to 6 videos, and every video – whether a lesson, meditation, exercise, or Q&A – includes a description, so you have total flexibility when planning your self-paced day of practice.

Cost

Day of Practice is offered on a sliding scale basis, with a suggested rate of $35. We wholeheartedly welcome all to practice with us; no one turned away for lack of funds.
