With Ulla Koenig recorded on December 4, 2022.

Patience can be one of those qualities which we think of as being theoretically helpful but feel little motivation to actually cultivate and strengthen. So much emphasis in our busy world of achieving goals and getting tasks done is about doing, taking action and fixing problems. We will spend this session exploring the benefits of cultivating a sense of patience in our lives, our relationships and our mindfulness practice.

    The Skilful Process of Transformation

In this session, we’ll use the skilful means of mindfulness, mindful breathing and leading the nervous system into a parasympathetic state, to guide our mind towards organic spacious awareness. We’ve probably all experienced how these reactions exacerbate the problem. The Buddha taught that dukkha is a puzzle that can be solved: it doesn’t have to be a mystery. We can learn the resolution that brings us from bewilderment to marvellous release by paying quiet attention to the pattern of the difficulty.

There is no Way to Peace, Peace is the Way

As the planet heats up, and hostilities flare between groups and nations, how do we touch and embody the possibility of peace, right here and now? The Kindness of Softness and Space

Softness and spaciousness can be cultivated and called upon when needed. The sensations of softness are reflective of ease and equanimity – the feeling of spaciousness, reflective of non-clinging.
