Body and space / matter and consciousness.

With Christelle Bonneau recorded on May 29, 2016.

Found our teachings useful? Help us continue our work and support your teachers with a donation. Here’s how.

How can we become more grounded and more intimate with ourselves while becoming more spacious and free from endless random mental chatter?

Let’s explore in the ways in which the body is such a precious help for meditation practice and in mindfulness in everyday life. Let’s explore as well the central role of space, emptiness, into the practice of presence and consciousness. Maybe we could feel in a deeper way the very close interconnection between body and space, matter and consciousness, and see how the changing manifested reality and the limitless unmanifested world of consciousness are dancing together as one. And within this dance, who are we? And how can we get some real inner freedom?

This week we will practice with these elements as skilful means for contemplating body and world, and for cultivating the mind.

  • Daily Meditation Recordings, with Shireen Jilla – Week of 29 September, 2025

We’re delighted to have Shireen Jilla guiding our Daily Meditation sessions this week. May her teachings enrich your practice.

This week’s theme is: Equanimity: Balancing at the Centre of the Seesaw of Life

Every morning we will explore a different aspect of equanimity, this inner steadiness, and how we nurture it in our practice. What is this felt sense of spacious ease and how is it a wise check to overwhelming compassion? Actively engaging with our experience, how do we deeply let go? And finally, potently, we will explore equanimity as the gift of grace.
