Milo North Burn
Milo North Burn (he/him) has practiced for over twenty years in the Insight Meditation and Soto Zen traditions, including several cumulative years of silent retreat and about five years in monastic communities such as Tassajara and Green Gulch. He has studied closely with many senior teachers, including Joseph Goldstein, Greg Scharf, Leslie James, Tenshin Reb Anderson Roshi, and Adyashanti.
In 2019 he served as Resident Teacher at Dharmagiri Sacred Mountain Retreat. In 2021 he founded Boundless Refuge, where he leads an annual three-month silent retreat. He also offers daylongs and a weekly in-person and online sitting group based in Berkeley, California.
Milo’s teaching emphasizes a spirit of radical welcoming — meeting experience here and now with complete relaxation, and discovering the compassionate way which flows from this practice.
